Newly-Redeveloped Matterhorn Building Welcomes Baked Roots Bar
North Rim Development Group’s adaptive-reuse commercial kitchens gain a tenant
NRDG announces its first tenant joining their new commercial-kitchen development, the Matterhorn Building, in Portland’s Central Eastside Industrial District. “Baked Roots Bar” will be utilizing one of the five fully-equipped production kitchen spaces as a quick-serve restaurant.
Baked Roots Bar is a grab-and-go establishment offering affordable and healthy, plant-based dining options. Their signature products include an assortment of baked root vegetables complimented with unique, house-made and ethnically-inspired sauces and toppings. Baked Roots Bar aims to create a comfortable and easy-going atmosphere with an emphasis on sustainability. This Portland-based women-owned company incorporates locally-sourced ingredients into their food, ensuring a healthy and whole-food product.
The Matterhorn Building is a newly-renovated adaptive-reuse development located in the heart of the Central Eastside Industrial District. The building has five ground-floor commercial kitchens with second-floor mezzanine flex spaces for create office or storage use. The kitchens are fully outfitted to accommodate catering use as well as limited restaurant use. All suites are built to be plug-and-play ready, and the building was remodeled sustainably green, and energy efficient.
