Matt is passionate about helping his clients find their perfect fit within Portland's commercial real estate market. His strengths in analyzing and problem-solving serve him well in his many roles at North Rim. In heading up the leasing department, Matt works with new and existing tenants, and oversees nearly 238,000 square feet of portfolio space. He coordinates the acquisition and analyses of the company's development projects, and directs the Property Management and Maintenance division. As a principle at North Rim, Matt is dedicated to the company's work as a leader in Portland's growing business community and believes that operating with integrity and passion are key to this work.

Prior to joining North Rim in 1998, Matt held positions at Norris & Stevens Realtors and Bluestone & Hockley Realty, where he gained experience in property management and leasing. Matt is originally from Connecticut and relocated to Portland to attend Lewis & Clark College, where received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992. Matt followed that with an RPA (Real Property Administrator) designation from the Building Owners and Management Institute International. He has also been affiliated with numerous real estate organizations over the past 20+ years. Matt attends local continuing education events and is an avid reader, always trying to find ways to improve himself and his business.

As a dedicated parent and community member, Matt has taken on several leadership positions on the board of his daughters' school, The International School, including the position of Board President, as well as with his church community. Matt and North Rim are also strong supporters of Portland's Community Warehouse.

Matt loves his adopted city of Portland and is often struck by its beauty and how lucky he is to make it his home. When he can gather his daughters and wife together for a day of skiing or a jog in the park, then that's a fantastic day.
